About the Organization

The Zeliangrong Baptist Association (ZBA), established in 1989 and registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, is a long-standing development organization dedicated to improving quality of life across remote communities of Tamenglong District, Manipur. With over three decades of grassroots experience, ZBA has built a strong presence in interior and hard-to-reach areas, delivering locally relevant interventions that address immediate needs while advancing sustainable development goals.

ZBA’s work spans sustainable livelihoods, social welfare, health and well being, peace-building and conflict resolution, climate change mitigation, rights and entitlements, gender mainstreaming and women’s empowerment, and leadership development. Our integrated approach combines capacity building, community mobilization, and systems-strengthening to produce measurable, lasting outcomes.

ZBA’s strength lies in its committed, dynamic team—professionals and community facilitators who bring local knowledge, technical competence, and strong relationships with government departments, subject-matter experts, and grassroots leaders. Our deep rapport with local churches, community leaders, and village organizations ensures effective community engagement, trust-building, and sustained ownership of interventions.
